Van Ardi’s Dry Red is a blend of Estate Grown Areni, Haghtanak and Khaket grapes, this wine is fermented in steel tanks and given a short aging in Armenian oak barrels. The Areni grapes provide the bright red fruit, the Khaket acidity and sweetness and the Haghtanak adds color, perfume and black fruit elements.
The 2018 Red Blend has a dark red color. The nose gives off aromas of mulberry, plum and violets. On the palate sweet black fruit balanced with herbal notes. Soft oak notes frame the wine, with light tannins and a smooth sweet finish. Nicely complex for a young wine, drink this up over the next 2-3 years.
