His Areni's Dry Red Areni is made from Estate grown grapes. The high elevation and volcanic soil of the vineyards in the hills above Areni Village produce rich and complex wines. The 2018 Areni is a medium bodied wine. Cherry and pomegranate fruit on the nose, floral elements as the wine opens up.  On the palate, sweet red fruits and herbal tones. This is a nicely balanced wine with bright fruit, light tannin and acidity all working together.

Davit is made from 100% old vine Areni from the Vayots Dzor. The grapes are fermented in concrete tanks and the wine is aged in Armenian Oak barrels. This is the second vintage of Davit. Bright Areni fruit jumps out of the glass of this first vintage of Davit. The cherry flavors are joined by more red berry fruit on the palate. Very little oak is noticeable, but chocolate and dried fruit emerge and add complexity to this easy drinking wine.

Made from 100% old vine Areni grapes grown in Vayots Dzor Provence,  Arag is fermented in clay amphora, racked and aged an additional 8 months in amphora. This the second vintage made by the Armenian/Italian owned Rikars Vineyards. This medium bodied red wine is layered and needs time in the glass to open up. As it does, floral elements emerge as do cherry and pomegranate flavors. A rich, complex Areni that shows how Armenia's ancient winemaking methods can be deployed to make a delicious modern wine.

Tushopa makes its Reserve Red wine from its finest selection of Haghtanak grapes grown in the Estate's Ararat Valley vineyards. The grapes were fermented in steel tanks then aged for 14 months in Armenian Oak barrels. 2015 is the second vintage of Tushpa's Reserve Red. A deep, dark purple wine, the 2015 Reserve coats the palate with dark plum, tart cherry and chocolate flavors. The vanilla notes of oak linger on the finish, but this not a wine dominated by new oak flavors. Rather, its round tannins, low alcohol (12.5%) and bright acid keep the wine light and well suited to pair with flavorful meat dishes.

La Divine is a once a decade special cuvée from Hin Areni. Winemaker Didier Cornillon nurtured every aspect of this wine from harvest through fermentation and it's extended egging in Armenian oak barrels. Didier feels it is the greatest wine he has ever made; delicious, complex and age-worthy. The 2017 is a dark crimson color, lightening to violet at the rim. The nose opens to sweet vanilla oak complemented by herbal/floral elements. Sweet cherry fruit and a nice acidic backbone on the palate. As the wine opens, the oak continues to frame the pomegranate and cranberry fruit flavors. Perfect for drinking now, this wine should continue to evolve for another 7-10 years.

Made only in years when the conditions for a late harvest are optimal, this dessert wine is made from the unique Muscat Vardabuyr variety grown near Echmiadzin. The wine is fermented down to a sugar content of 16%, then fortified with alcohol made from distilled muscat wine and barrel aged to add complexity to both nose and palate. Serve chilled. Note- this wine is only available in 375ml (half bottle) size.

Only made in 2013, the dessert wine Katerine is made from late harvested Khaket grapes. This special wine is made by stopping the fermentation of these super ripe grapes while there is still a high sugar level (16%) then stabilizing the wine with alcohol made from distilled khaket wine. The wine is then barrel aged to increase complexity. A deep red color, sweet but not cloying, the Katarine is similar to a vintage port or a Vin Santo wine from Italy. Nuts, figs, raisins and toffee flavors make this a perfect compliment to a chocolate dessert, or simply enjoy it as dessert! Note- this wine is only available in 375ml (half bottle) size.
